About RandomCoords

RandomCoords is built with a love for maps, geography, and randomness. It's a free and lightweight web app that lets you generate random geographic coordinates (points or polygons) anywhere on Earth. These coordinates are sometimes referred to as GPS coordinates, representing latitude and longitude.

You're a developer or QA engineer testing location-based apps, a GIS learner experimenting with maps, a geocacher looking for new ideas, a traveler, or simply someone curious about random places; RandomCoords helps you explore real coordinates instantly.

You can generate random coordinates globally or within specific regions or countries, making it useful for testing, analysis, or exploration within a chosen area.

There are no mandatory signups and no complex setup. Just a fast, accessible map tool that works across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Results appear directly on the interactive map, and you can copy or export your data in multiple formats including JSON, GeoJSON, CSV, and KML.

REST APIs and SDKs are also available for developers. Please note that these are experimental and may not always match the latest web features.

RandomCoords is continually evolving, expanding the list of supported countries and adding features to make the app more valuable for users.
